The Hotel Dylan in Woodstock, New York has unveiled a new extension, recently completed by Los Angeles-based design practice and husband and wife duo the Novogratz. The art- and music-centric design is punctuated with artwork from Ann Carrington and Trey Speegle, as well as cheeky presidential portraits by Spencer Herr.
In addition to a new library and bar, the addition comprises guestrooms named after rock ‘n’ roll legends associated with Woodstock Nation and appointed with special elements ranging from floral wallpaper accent walls to colorful turntables and Smeg refrigerators. The lobby area features midcentury furnishings in camel leather and deep green, vintage kilims, and hanging rope chairs. A white neon sign on the new fireplace welcomes visitors and anchors the space, enhancing the whimsical, residential quality across the new interiors.
